On Wheel of Fortune airing September 18, 2026, Liz Hawkins of Mequon, Wisconsin put together a strong night and finished as the episode winner. The opening toss-up puzzles were solved by Liz with BACK TO SCHOOL, FALL EQUINOX, and CHANGING LEAVES, while Lee Carrigan picked up APPLE PICKING. Lee also identified the first word of PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE, but did not finish the puzzle in time.
In the main game, Liz took the first round with the Same Letter puzzle FANTASTIC FABULOUS FRECKLES, building an early lead. She kept that momentum going in the Mystery Round by solving SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY, which added to her advantage after Kim Fields-Pendleton had built up money and a trip before hitting Bankrupt.
The Prize Puzzle round helped decide the match. Liz solved YOU WON’T WANT TO GO HOME!, earning another $6,150 along with a trip to the Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach. That solve pushed her total to $27,819 in cash and trip value, giving her a sizable cushion heading into the final stages of the game.
The Triple Toss-Ups brought more key solves. Lee answered one with Abbott & Costello, but Liz claimed the next two with STEVE MARTIN & MARTIN SHORT and TINA FEY & AMY POEHLER. In the Speed-Up round, Lee solved the Song Lyrics puzzle I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES, which doubled his score to $6,000, but it was not enough to catch Liz.
Liz won the episode with $31,819 in cash and a Bali vacation, while Lee finished with $6,000. In the Bonus Round, she chose Food & Drink and successfully solved QUART OF WHOLE MILK. That win added $45,000, bringing Liz’s final total to $76,819 in cash and vacation value and completing a decisive Wheel of Fortune victory.
