On October 2, 2026, Wheel of Fortune opened with Wizard of Oz-themed puzzles. Brandon identified Dorothy and later solved THE EMERALD CITY, while Mildred found RUBY SLIPPERS. Michael did not solve COWARDLY LION, leaving Brandon with early control going into the main game.
Michael took the first main-round puzzle, ROCK GARDEN OF EDEN, and earned $13,850 in cash and a trip. Brandon answered back in the Body Language round with USE A LITTLE ELBOW GREASE, bringing his total to $4,000 at that point.
The Puzzle Play round created the major swing of the Wheel of Fortune game. Brandon solved FINDING CONSTELLATIONS for $6,400 and a Collette South American tour, raising his total to $22,998. In the Triple Toss-Up, Mildred correctly solved OUR FIRST KISS, while the final toss-up answer was OUR FIRST BORN.
Mildred closed the game by solving the Head Games puzzle CAN I PICK YOUR BRAIN? for $3,100, finishing with $6,100. Michael ended with $15,850 in cash and a trip, but Brandon Bethel remained ahead with $22,998 in cash and a tour to win the October 2, 2026 episode of Wheel of Fortune.
Brandon advanced to the Bonus Round with the category In the Kitchen. With Tiffany and Albert supporting him, he was unable to solve FULL COOKIE JAR. The bonus puzzle was not won, and the missed Bonus Round prize was $55,000.
