On May 14, 2026, Wheel of Fortune opened with Stephanie solving the first toss-up, while Derrick took the $2,000 toss-up with MISSION STATEMENT. Derrick kept the momentum going in the first main round, solving FLYING ON A PRIVATE JET to build an early lead and put himself in strong position heading into the middle of the game.
Derrick added another solve in the Food & Drink round with POKER & CORN CHIPS. He then looked poised for another big pickup in the Phrase round after calling several letters, but that puzzle turned on a late swing when Stephanie solved THINGS ARE GETTING OUT OF HAND, taking the round and moving in front with cash and a trip to Aruba.
The Triple Toss-Up rounds tightened the match even more. Stephanie solved HOCKEY STICK, Jason got on the board with LACROSSE STICK, and Derrick claimed the third puzzle with SLAPSTICK. That left Stephanie narrowly ahead of Derrick, with Jason still trailing before the final puzzle.
The deciding moment came in the Speed-Up round in the Human or Animal? category. Jason delivered the key solve with A LITTLE BIRD TOLD ME, a huge pickup that vaulted him past both opponents. That late-game answer gave Jason the win for the episode with $38,000 and sent him into the bonus round.
In the Bonus Round, Jason chose Phrase and completed IN THE AFTERMATH. The solve was successful, and it added $40,000 more to his total. Jason finished the night as the Wheel of Fortune winner with $78,000 after converting both the comeback victory and the bonus round win.
