The October 29, 2025, Halloween Week episode of Wheel of Fortune delivered plenty of festive fun, clever wordplay, and a sweet finish for contestant Abi McLaughlin of North Los Angeles. The show opened with Abi solving the $1,000 Toss-Up: MAKING A FOOL OF MYSELF, setting an early lighthearted tone. Her fellow contestants included Rahima Schwenbeck from Las Vegas, originally from Sri Lanka, and Evan Thiam of Alexandria, Virginia. The three brought a lively mix of personalities to the stage — from Rahima’s love of travel and ice cream to Evan’s post-Halloween candy tradition of freezing treats for later.
Rahima quickly struck back, solving the $2,000 Toss-Up: SUPERNATURAL PHENOMENON to take the lead. In Round 1, with the category Song Lyrics, she dominated again by piecing together I SAW A WEREWOLF DRINKING A PINA COLADA, a nod to Warren Zevon’s “Werewolves of London.” Her strong start earned her $5,800 and the early edge, while Abi and Evan were left regrouping for the next rounds.
Abi got her momentum back in the Prevagen Before & After round by solving HAUNTED HOUSE SALAD, a perfect Halloween pun that added $1,600 to her total. The Prize Puzzle Round then brought her the night’s biggest win so far — she solved CASTLES AND CATHEDRALS, earning $4,950 and a Collette tour of Southern Italy, including a visit to Rome. With that, Abi surged into first place with over $21,000 in cash and prizes.
The Triple Toss-Ups kept the Halloween theme going under Fun & Games. Abi solved PLAYING DRESS-UP and PLAYING HOOKY, while Rahima grabbed PLAYING WITH FIRE, keeping the competition tight to the end. The Final Spin, in the Food & Drink category, saw Evan score a late win with MY FAVORITE CANDY, finishing with $3,700 and ending his night on a sweet note.
Abi advanced to the Bonus Round with the category Phrase. With confident letter choices, she uncovered YOU MADE ME BLUSH, securing a $55,000 bonus and closing the night with a remarkable $80,660 in total winnings, including her trip to Italy. It was a Halloween-themed episode packed with humor, creativity, and strong play — and Abi’s big smile was the perfect ending to a night of spooky fun and sweet success.
