Who is Ben Meyerson from Jeopardy? From Trevor Noah’s Daily Show to Political Strategy and the Jeopardy Stage

Ben Meyerson may be introduced on Jeopardy! simply as a political consultant from New York City, but that description leaves out much of his story.

Meyerson has worked behind the scenes of nationally televised political comedy, developed digital content, advised organizations on branding and communications and written about political social-media strategy.

His path illustrates how closely politics, entertainment and advertising can overlap in modern communications.

English Came Before Political Science

Meyerson’s academic journey began at Tufts University.

From 2012 to 2016, he studied English.

He later attended NYU for a Master of Arts in Political Science.

Together, the two subjects gave him a combination of communications-oriented humanities training and formal political study.

Comedy Central Gave Him a Different Kind of Political Education

Meyerson’s work with Comedy Central exposed him to politics through entertainment.

As a digital/associate producer connected with The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, he worked on content designed for audiences who increasingly consumed television programs through digital and social channels.

He also had production experience connected with The President Show, Anthony Atamanuik’s political satire.

The roles required an understanding not merely of politics but also of comedy, audience behavior and digital media.

The Pandemic Changed The Daily Show—and Meyerson Worked Through It

The pandemic transformed television production.

The Daily Show adapted by becoming The Daily Social Distancing Show, with Trevor Noah presenting remotely.

Meyerson was involved in the Google collaboration associated with that version of the program.

The project received recognition from the Shorty Awards, which focus on digital and social-media work.

He Took Television Skills Into Consulting

After television, Meyerson moved further into strategic communications.

At Kivvit, he became a Brand Strategy Principal.

His client work encompassed nonprofits, government organizations and companies.

Instead of producing a television segment, he might now be helping an organization decide how to define its brand, structure an advertising campaign or communicate through social media.

The medium changed, but understanding audiences remained fundamental.

Political Social Media Became an Area of Expertise

Meyerson has also written about the communication strategies used by political institutions.

His analysis has considered the relationship between online tone and audience engagement.

That reflects a career focused less narrowly on individual campaigns than the title “political consultant” might imply.

His expertise spans the larger ecosystem of public communication.

His Zoo Work Shows Another Side of Him

Meyerson lives in Brooklyn and has volunteered at Prospect Park Zoo since September 2025.

As a Conservation Ambassador/Interpreter with the Wildlife Conservation Society, he helps communicate information about animals and conservation to visitors.

It is far removed from political consulting in subject matter.

Yet the underlying skill is remarkably familiar: understand information, find an engaging way to communicate it and connect with an audience.
